Brad McLain, Ph.D. Is the founder of Designing Transformative Experiences LLC. He is a social scientist interested in the nature and psychology of identity development, learning, and leadership, with over 20 years of experience working with organizations and leaders of all stripes. Brad is on the faculty of the University of Colorado at Boulder and serves as the Managing Director of the Center for STEM Learning and Director of Corporate Identity & Culture at the Center for Technology Workforce Innovation at CU. He works closely with companies, non-profits, gov't agencies, education institutions and other orgs on the subjects of transformative leadership and personal identity growth, and STEM-related leadership & education. Prior, he served two terms on the Board of Directors for the Jane Goodall Institute and was the United States Chair of Dr. Goodall’s Roots and Shoots Leadership Committee. Before that, Brad was an educational researcher at the Space Science Institute, worked at NASA in the Space Shuttle Program as well as NASA’s Office of Biological and Physical Research, and NASA’s Science Mission Directorate, and was a social science researcher at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), among other STEM-related work. He is also an accomplished filmmaker, having produced and directed three documentary features and dozens of short films. Dr. McLain lives in Boulder Colorado.
